Recent visit to Ray's Boathouse

I ate at Ray's Boathouse last night for the first time in a couple years and am happy to report that they still do seafood really, really well.

We went as part of the 25 for 25 restaurant promotion and had a very nice meal. We got to sit right by the window and watch the sunset along with a blue heron that decided to perch on a pole right in front of us. I had the salmon which was wonderful and my friend had the smoked sablefish (black cod) that was even better--it was out of this world, actually.

It's good to know that Ray's is still reliable for excellent seafood along with good service and that awesome view! I still remember the experience of tasting my first bite of Copper River salmon there back in 1991 with my mom who was visiting from Boston and how amazing it was.
