Help build a school in Cambodia

Help build a school in Cambodia

I’m very excited to be participating in this year’s Passports with Purpose to help build a school in Cambodia.

There’s lots more information on the PwP website, but in a nutshell, Passports with Purpose was started by four travel bloggers based in Seattle to raise money for good causes, as a way to give back to this world we all live and travel in.  This year the goal is to raise $13,000 for American Assisstance for Cambodia, which has a well-established program to build schools in Cambodia.  Read more about why this is so important here and here.

The way it works is, each participating blogger offers a prize, and then asks readers to make donations.  For every tax deductible $10 donation you make, you get a shot at winning the prize of your choice.  100% of the money raised goes to AAfC.

I’m very pleased to announce that the Inn at the Market, one of my preferred hotels here in Seattle, has most generously donated a gift certificate for a one night stay at the Inn, in a water view room.  The gift certificate is valid through December 30, 2010, and may not be used between June and September.

Click here to make a donation and see a list of all the great prizes.  Donations close on December 21, and prizes will be awarded on January 5.

I hope you’ll join me in supporting this great cause and good luck on winning one of the prizes!
